Tech Tip Tuesday #9

Today's Tip:
Allow students to use the Voice Typing tool in Google Docs. This can be a powerful tool for any student (and teachers too!), but especially for struggling students.

Instructions:     (from Eric Curts at Control Alt Achieve)
  1. With your Google Document open, place the cursor where you want to insert your spoken text.
  2. Click "Tools" then "Voice Typing".
  3. The Voice Typing tool will now open.
  4. When ready, click the microphone button to begin speaking.
  5. If it is your first time using the tool you may have to grant permission for the tool to access your microphone.
  6. Now as you speak, Docs will type out what it hears you saying.
  7. Click the microphone button again to turn off Voice Typing.
