Tech Tip Tuesday #21
Google Slides templates make creating slides for lectures, agendas, assignments, and more so easy!
My personal favorite resource for templates is Slides Mania. This resource really focuses on education and has a "By Edu for Edu" section with templates created by teachers for their own classrooms.
To use a template, scroll down under the preview and click the "Open in Google Slides" button. Check out more tips and tricks in their "How-To's" section.
Another popular resource is SlidesCarnival. This resource also has an Education section.
For more information on using SlidesCarnival in the classroom, check out this recent Educational Technology and Mobile Learning post.
Bonus
These aren't exactly Google Slide templates as some are Docs and Forms, but if you are looking for more choice board templates, this is a great list.

Tech Tip Tuesday #20
Today’s Tip:
Add a watermark in Google Docs to mark a document as a “Draft” or “Confidential.”
This is an updated feature! This fall Google rolled out image watermarks and recently added text watermarks. Find more new features at Google Workspace Updates.
How to Add a Watermark
While in Google Docs, click on Insert and select Watermark.
You have two options Image or Text. The Image option would be great for the East Central logo or a clipart icon. The Text option would be great for marking a document as a “Draft” or “Confidential.”
To learn more about this feature, check out Create or import text watermarks in Google Docs or Add image watermarks in Google Docs.

"Hidden" Gems in Schoology
View course as a student or a parent. While in the course, click on Course Options and select View Course As. Then select a member or a parent. This is helpful if you have folders/materials unpublished and want to see how the materials page looks for others.
View grades as a student or a parent. While in the grade book, click on the bar graph after a student's name to view their grades. When students view grades in Schoology, they see a lot of information and it can be confusing and/or overwhelming. This view might help you in choosing categories for your materials and having discussions with your students regarding their grades.
Use assignment options. At the bottom of an assignment, there are "hidden" options to Individually Assign, Lock, Enable Submissions, Publish, Show Grade Statistics, Enable Comments, and Copy to Another Course.
